Aesop Presents “The Fragrant Fables” Exhibition in Beijing

From Sept. 21 to Oct. 11, 2026, Aesop is presenting “The Fragrant Fables” exhibition on the third floor of the West Tower at WF Central in Beijing’s Dongcheng district. The exhibition introduces the new Unforeseen Aer Eau de Parfum alongside the fragrance collection’s refreshed packaging.

Aesop takes its name from Aesop, the ancient Greek fabulist. “The Fragrant Fables” continues the brand’s longstanding connection with literature, posing a question: Can fragrance, like poetry, provoke thought and stir emotion? Each fragrance tells a fable; each fable, in turn, poses a question. Suspended Dongba paper (a traditional handmade paper associated with the Naxi people of southwest China) installations carry these fables, inviting visitors to reflect on questions closely tied to contemporary life through their own experiences and emotions.

The exhibition comprises six multisensory spaces, taking visitors through Entirely Aurner, Evoking Eidesis, Boundless Erémia, Tacit Truths and the newly launched Unforeseen Aer. Together, they create a journey between the senses and the mind, where fragrance and poetry intertwine: key aromatic notes reveal the many facets of individual botanical extracts, while imagined accords evoke scents for elements of the natural world that have no aroma of their own.

In the exhibition’s final chapter, the fragrance collection is presented in full, allowing visitors to further explore the olfactory character and creative theme of each scent, with the fragrances also available for purchase on site.
