As part of Shanghai Fashion Week, adidas Originals introduces a special pop-up to celebrating its signature low-profile sneakers and this season’s womenswear collection.
Designed to embody the evolving spirit of the adidas Originals' girl, the space showcases the brand’s ongoing commitment to innovation and diverse expressions of femininity. From the revival of streamlined low-profile sneakers to fresh interpretations of the classic Handball Spezial and trend-forward collaborations, adidas Originals continues to reimagine its legacy with a bold and contemporary edge.

To bring this vision to life, adidas Originals has enlisted interdisciplinary artist Lina Sun Park to curate an immersive visual experience. The brand has also invited athlete ambassador Wu Yanni, designer Caroline Hu, and model Li Linda to celebrate the latest evolution of the adidas Originals' girl aesthetic.
A dedicated sneaker showcase spotlights key styles from the brand’s archives, bridging the past and present of adidas Originals' footwear innovation. Highlights include the taekwondo-inspired TAEKWONDO series, the motorsport-influenced ADIRACER line, and classic retro sneakers rooted in track and soccer culture. This mix of performance heritage and contemporary styling opens up new possibilities for self-expression.

Looking ahead, the beloved Handball Spezial will be released in an expanded range of colors for Fall/Winter 2025, with an exclusive showcase and launch at the brand-new adidas Originals flagship store on Anfu Road.

Beyond footwear, the space also highlights adidas Originals' creative partnerships with female designers. Exhibits feature collaborations with AVAVAV, Wales Bonner, Caroline Hu, and Sporty & Rich, each offering a fresh perspective on the brand’s heritage through innovative and diverse design narratives.

Adding to the experience, the space debuts exclusive new pieces that further explore the identity of the adidas Originals' girl, inspiring visitors to experiment with personal style and self-expression.

More than just a retail showcase, the pop-up space is an interactive hub. At the workshop station, remake brand IS12 founder Ya Meimei will guide participants in customizing their own sock accessories using adidas Originals-inspired sock sleeves, lace, studs, bows, and more. This hands-on session offers every visitor a chance to craft a unique adidas Originals look while exploring the creative world of remake fashion.
