M·A·C Marks 20 Years in China with Star-Studded Beauty Bash

On April 2, M·A·C Cosmetics threw a celebratory beauty party at the Shanghai World Expo Creative Showground to mark two decades in the Chinese market. The spotlight was on the brand’s latest base innovation — the Powder Plus Foundation, the newest addition to its New Studio Fix lineup.

Global ambassador Jolin Tsai took center stage at the launch, joined by brand friends Wu Yanni, Yu Jingtian, and Curley Gao.

Powered by M·A·C’s proprietary LAYERFIX technology, the foundation promises 24-hour oil control and 12-hour wear. It comes in nine shades tailored to Asian skin tones, designed to deliver a seamless, natural-matte finish. The new compact is shade-matched to M·A·C’s Studio Fix Fluid Foundation, offering users a flawless base pairing for everyday wear.

Also revealed at the event was the Lipglass Air, the brand’s lip gloss innovation for 2025. With 10 new shades, the collection boasts glassy shine and long-lasting moisture.

Athlete Wu Yanni kicked off the show wearing Lipglass Air #224, teaming up with a group of dancers in an energetic opening act. Singer Yu Jingtian made his runway debut in Silky Matte Lipstick #666 and Lipglass Air #220. Meanwhile, Curley Gao appeared in Lipglass Air #22 and the new Powder Plus Foundation, presenting a soft matte finish in true “I WEAR M·A·C” style.

Jolin Tsai later closed the night in a bold black ensemble, her skin perfected with the new foundation. A final touch of Lipglass Air #226 lit up her look, embodying a confident, modern beauty sensibility.

The event was also attended by Aida Moudachirou-Rebois, Senior Vice President of Estée Lauder Companies and Global President of M·A·C, who joined Tsai on stage to unveil the new release.
